Wooden Commode Chair
Wooden Commode Chair
This solidly constructed wooden commode chair has a baked enamel collection container recycled from a 1950s refrigerator.
The chair was made out of re-cycled Victorian Ash by Lionel for his mother during her convalescence.
The warm wooden seat has been contoured for comfort.
The collection container easily slides out from front (he found from conversations with other commode users that those chairs that have the collection container removed from the back need to be moved away from a wall to access the container, potentially spilling the contents in the process).
It was painted to blend in with outher furniture in her unit and has matching wooden cover to disguise its use as commode and allow it to also be used as an ordinary bedside chair.
It has a shelf at the back of the pan for storing extra paper or cleaning supplies.
