Pulley-belt Stretcher

 Pulley-belt Stretcher

Lionel needed a new pulley belt for his drill press but the new belts available locally were either a fraction too small or massively too large.

So he built this pulley-belt stretcher.

It is of all metal construction on a wooden base and is fully adjustable from 40 to 76cm.

By soaking the undersized pulley belt in hot water, stretching it and allowing it to cool while still under tension, he was able to modify a belt to exactly the size he wanted.
