Bench Sander from an old Pedestal Fan

Bench Sander from an old Pedestal Fan
Lionel was given an old broken pedestal fan - the motor still worked but the blades were broken and it was missing the safety guard.

Being reticent to throw it in the bin, he converted it into a compact bench sander.
Although not as powerful as a commercial disk sander, using a very coarse sanding disc compensates for the lack of power.
This bench sander utilised the original three-speed controller and is ideal for shaping and/or sanding small projects.
